Quick & Intense Live Automobiles Head For Auction

Following the arena production of Fast & Furious Live’s financial issues last year, cars utilized in the event are up for auction.

Arguably the most avant-garde automotive arena performance ever tried, the production toured Europe in 2018 and was scheduled to make its international debut this year. After finishing the majority of its European tour dates, it went into administration in the summer. All of the show’s gear, including a stunning array of vehicles, is currently up for bid in a large online auction.

Some movie-used vehicles are available for purchase, including an original Nissan 350Z from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift that was given a second chance at life and a Chevrolet LS-powered “ramp car” from Fast & Furious 6 (shown above). Both have beginning bids of £10,000 (current exchange rate: £12,851) and £20,000 ($25,703), respectively, for each item. There is also a replica Lamborghini used in the eighth movie, powered by a Jaguar V6 engine, up for auction with a beginning bid of £20,000 ($25,703).

In addition to the classic movie automobiles, Fast & Furious movie car expert Dennis McCarthy also employed custom-built vehicles for the series. McCarthy, who has been a part of the franchise since the third film, created three Dodge Chargers, one of which is a duplicate of the main vehicle from The Fate of the Furious (see below).

The United Kingdom is where many of the cars seen in the show were either produced or bought. The months preceding the show’s January 2018 premiere saw the meticulous reconstruction of the legendary movie automobiles.

A fleet of former police Dodge Chargers, a trio of Ford-powered Honda Civics, a Nissan GT-R dubbed the “BenSopra” that was used in the popular Top Gear Live tour, a Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7, Honda S2000, and Nissan Skyline GT-R all covered in tens of thousands of LEDs are all up for grabs in the sale.

It’s definitely important to note that none of the vehicles up for sale are currently allowed for use on public roads because they have all undergone performance and safety enhancements akin to those of a race, so keep that in mind if this sounds like your ideal January deal.
